window in ceilingWhen we start something we haven’t ever done before, everything is new. It’s fun discovering new things, exploring places we haven’t been before.

I’m new to living in Arizona. I’m on my 5th month. It’s hard to believe. In many ways it seems as though I’ve been here for a long time and others it seems as though I’ve just arrived. There are still so many things that I’m doing for the first time or visiting for the first time here.

I keep thinking some of the routines I have will ‘settle’ the newness but it hasn’t yet. And that’s OK. Maybe once I hit the year mark. We’ll see.

One of the draws to AZ was Sedona. I was there on Saturday for a class. I’ve enjoyed the energies of Sedona for many years though I am glad I live ‘near’ and not ‘in’ Sedona.

One of the things I still love, and it feels new every time, is when I am just starting to see the red rocks on the edge of town. The beauty of it is so breathtaking. I don’t want that feeling to ever get old. I want it to continue to have an affect on me.

So when you are starting something new and it’s exciting and challenging (in a good way), remember those feelings. So when it seems to turn into the ‘same old thing’, you can go back to the new and exciting feelings that you experienced in the beginning.

What are some ways to do this?

  • Journal about it and add lots of details
  • Write a blog 🙂 about your experience
  • Take pictures
  • Do some audios or videos
  • Etch it forever in your brain

This picture is of a window in the ceiling of where I was sitting on Saturday.

Angel Blessings to you.
