This picture, though there are no clouds, seems as though the mountain, far into the distance, is a cloud just floating there.
Do you ever feel like you are ‘in the clouds’? Maybe your mind keeps wandering and you just can’t seem to stay focused because you’re thinking about something else.
When you find yourself with the wandering mind or head in the clouds, maybe it’s time for a mini-stay-imagination-vacation.
- Mini because you might say you have to no time.
- Stay because you might say I can’t go anywhere.
- Imagination because you’ll need it.
- Vacation because I’m sure you can use it.
What you’ll need:
- Somewhere you can close your eyes
- Minimum 3-5 minutes
- To be comfortable (if that means laying down, then do so)
Once you are comfortable and have your eyes closed:
- Take a couple of deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth.
- Imagine a location you have always wanted to go or one you’ve already been to and loved.
- Bring as many of your senses into the image as you can (I’ll use the beach as an example).
- See the ocean waves coming into the beach area, gentle and rhythmic.
- Smell the salt air coming in on the breeze.
- Feel the sand beneath your feet as you walk and the warmth of the sun on your back.
- Hear the sounds of the seagulls as they dive for fish.
- Know that you are loved.
- Stay with this image as long as you can, continuing to put as many of your senses and as many details into it as you can.
- Once you are ready to come back, take a couple of deep grounding breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth. Imagine tree roots growing out of your feet, down into Mother Earth.
- Open your eyes.
You will feel refreshed, whether it was 3 minutes or 10 minutes. Take a mini-stay-imagination-vacation anytime you need.
Give yourself permission to have your head floating in the clouds, if just for a few minutes.
Angel Blessings to you.
