Do you ever feel as though you need to just take a break from others? Why don’t you do it?
Yes our lives are busy. There are people to see, places to go, things to do, as the saying goes. But as I’ve asked others and been reminded of myself now and again – who is the common denominator in all these people, places and things?
YOU are!! You are at the center of it all!!
Yes, you are the center of it all. And really, what that means is when your are feeling as though you ‘should’ take a rest, take a day for yourself, take a nap, etc, it’s time to listen.
When your intuition is knocking telling you these things and you choose to ignore it, something may come up where you are forced to clear your plate.
- Appointments get canceled
- Plans shift
- Car breaks down
- You catch a bug
Take time for yourself. It you have the option of taking some time and heading to a spa for a week, great.
If not, create your own spa at home and take a rest and rejuvenate.
- Take a hot bath with sea salts and essential oils
- Curl up and take a nap
- Go off with a good book and no electronics
- Grab a blanket, a cup of tea and do some journaling
Taking an hour of time is great. Taking a day for yourself is awesome. Taking a week would be fantabulous. Taking the time for yourself is the key.
Angel Blessings to you.

Good for you Rosemary!!
I take breaks from people and my hectic schedule daily! It’s very important for one to focus and have some down time. Great post!
Awesome Victoria. And keep taking those breaks 🙂
This is the best advice I’ve heard all week! Taking a break is so important. And you’re right, if we don’t schedule time for it, we may get a break we didn’t plan, like a cold!
It’s all about giving ourselves permission. 🙂
My husband and son, have a couple of days every year that are a boys day for them and a girls day for me. It is so important to have that me time and indulge yourself. I might read a book, have a coffee out or just take it as it comes!
That’s awesome – take it as it comes, allow the wonderful flow to just be. Beautiful Michelle.
