Do you ever have one of those days where you just have to sit down and have a personal pity party of one – just for a little while?

 

They don’t happen very often for me and thankfully don’t last very long but they do happen occasionally. It may not be any one thing but a combination of little things and the last one just pushes you a bit.

 

I look at it this way. There’s emotion that needs to be let out so I go with it. There’s nothing wrong with sitting down and venting or crying and letting your emotion out. 

 

For me, I just don't want to stay there very long. So what do you do to get out of the pity party? Well, here are some ideas:

  • call a friend who you know you can have a good laugh with 
  • watch a funny video, one that you know will get you laughing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IleBQMsx6OM)
  • go outside and allow nature to either shine some sun on you or have the winds carry away your mood
  • play with your pet
  • curl up with a good movie or book
  • meditate
  • call on your Angels
  • love yourself

Emotions are meant to be in-motion so it is good to vent them and let them out whether they're tears of laughter or joy or tears of sorrow or fear.
