Howdy Peeps!
Have you ever found yourself in different surroundings thinking everything should work just the same way it does back home? Well I think the saying 'you're not in Kansas anymore' applies here.
It's not that everything is so very different, but different enough.
I know it's only been just over 10 days since I've left Wisconsin, but I do find myself in a different flow. I talked about Getting in the Flow in a blog from last week.
That still applies but it feels different somehow. I know there's still a level of unsettledness simply because I'm in a vacation resort. My car has been 90% packed since I left Madison. And it will be until Friday – yes, just a few more days – Woo Hoo! That's when I can unload my car in my new home.
And that's what it is, my new home. This is my new home. Arizona is my new home-state. This is where I live now. So now it's time to not only get in the flow of my new surroundings, but acclimate and learn what I can about where I am.
One of the things my body is still adjusting to and probably will for a while is the altitude. Even when I looked up acclimate in the dictionary, that's the example they use.
Adjust to the altitude, adjust to my new surroundings, turn the house I'll be living in into my home. Going out exploring my neighborhood so I know what's around, who's around.
This isn't something that will happen overnight. I think we would like it to but that's all part of the journey and the adventure as well. Taking the time to get to know your new surroundings and acclimating.
It doesn't matter whether you're in a new job, a new living situation, a new relationship. Allow yourself time to acclimate, to adjust. Don't push it, go with the flow. Give yourself the time you deserve.
Angel Blessings to you.

PS The picture of the Nopal cactus was on my walk the other day. I've never seen that many fruit on one plant. Beautiful.
