Howdy Peeps!
I hope everyone had plenty to eat over Thanksgiving. Now just because the actual day is over doesn’t mean the ‘giving thanks’ has to stop.
Whether you spent time with family or friends or a combination of both, it doesn’t matter. Spending time with people you care about
Even if your Thanksgiving Day didn’t turn out the way you thought it would, or the way you wanted it to, there are still many things to be thankful for. Sometimes when we’re in the thick of things we don’t, or can’t, see anything to be grateful for.
The more we are in the ‘attitude of gratitude‘ the happier we may be. There are more and more scientific studies that are showing this, people are happier and healthier, being grateful.
What can you do to help get in the ‘attitude of gratitude‘?
As I’ve mentioned before, you can start with a gratitude journal. You can write as many things as you are grateful for, page after page, and then continue to add to it each day. This is also something awesome to read through when you are needing a pick-me-up. It’s always better to find natural ways of improving your mood, such as this kind of positive thinking and herbal remedies like those you find at https://buymyweedonline.ca/product/blue-dream-shatter-aaaaa/, rather than chemical prescriptions if you can avoid them.
But what else can you do?
What about telling someone who has been important to you, throughout your life, why you are grateful for them. You could write them a letter, thanking them and letting them know all the reasons you are grateful for having them in your life. Or you could visit with them and tell them all the reasons you are grateful.
Another way to show an ‘attitude of gratitude‘? What about going for a walk outside and give thanks to Mother Nature? Give thanks for the wonderful fresh air, the blue of the sky this time of year, the smell of the leaves, the brisk days.
Here’s something to do. Next time you are feeling down, depressed, bummed – whatever word you use – go out of your way to be grateful to another for something they have done. Whether it’s a sales clerk or a family member, tell them something you are grateful for, about them, and see if your mood doesn’t shift to more positive.
So Thanksgiving Day 2011 has come and gone. But each day, continue giving thanks for people in your life, tell them now.
Angel Blessings to you.
I’ve always thought gratitude is something we discover, like treasure from a map. We often choose not to commit to the journey to seek it out. As a result, for many true gratitude remains elusive, and hidden. Happy Thanksgiving Sue!
I’m always looking & finding treasure!!! 🙂
