Whenever you are in a quandary about what to do, see what your heart says…

Many things we do throughout the day are dictated by our mind. And some things we just do with an absence of our minds simply because it’s so routine we don’t even pay attention to it. Such as:

  • Driving to work
  • Getting ready in the morning
  • Folding a load of laundry

When you slow down and have time to flow with it, do you let your heart lead or do you let your mind take over and dictate?

Many of us let the mind do it’s thing. Take our jobs for instance – what we do for a career. Many let the mind dictate what needs to happen, where you work, what you do.

How many of you reading this are not happy in the job you are currently working? You don’t have to answer that out loud… I have talked with enough people to know that about 80% of people are not happy in what they are currently doing. Many are coming from the head rather than the heart.

Bills have to be paid, yes. You have a family to support, I get it. So what can you do where you are and still come from your heart?

Each day, find something you enjoy about what you are doing. And some days it may be a stretch, but find something. Start a list of the things you discover you enjoy. And add to that list every day.

Make an effort to smile and have a positive attitude. There are days you may have to fake it until you make it, but you know, there is that saying ‘smile, they’ll be wondering what you’re up to.’ Keep them wondering. 🙂

Go out of your way to do something nice for another. This does not have to be a big deal. Maybe buy a cup of coffee for someone or let them go before you in the line at the cafeteria or hold the door open for them. A friend told me the other day she offered to take notes for someone at a meeting so they could really focus on what they needed to.

Before you start your day, set the intent that your day will go smoothly and be joy-filled. Set your intent to whatever you would like your day to be (use positive words). Then be open to the flow of what happens which means also releasing any expectations.

You may not be in the ‘perfect job’ right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t come from your heart and have joy in whatever job you are doing at the present.

Angel Blessings to you.
