This week I’ve been reminded once again how precious life is!
I started out my week visiting with some long time friends – 30+ years. I don’t have a chance to see them as often since I moved to the wonderful sunny state of Arizona. I ended my week visiting a friend I’ve met since I’ve been here. They are getting ready to move away due to health reasons. Make every moment count.
Let the people who are in your life know how important they are to you. Tell them what they mean to you. Spend time with them, really being present. Make every moment count.
Do the things you love to do. Yes, there are mundane things too but even when you are doing the day to day things, make the moments count. When you are doing dishes, as you’re washing them, infuse them with love. Then next time they get used, think of how much better the food will taste. Do this with any of the day to day things. Make every moment count.
As you are driving down the road, pay attention to all the things going on around you. Notice the feathers in the sky made of clouds. Feel the sun on your arm. Notice the new buds on the trees just starting to show themselves. Make every moment count.
When you are spending time with friends, be with them. Be in the moment listening to what they are saying or share your wisdom with them. Stay present — not worrying about tomorrow or ranting about yesterday — be in the now! Make every moment count.
Today is February 29th. A day we only get every once every four years. Make every moment count!
