Dear Ones,

Today we wish to speak of sense of self.

Some may feel they are fully standing in their own power and have a very good sense of self and then something comes along and they go along to fit in or get along. Doing this knowingly is different than if you are unconsciously going along to fit in.

Having a strong sense of self is knowing at any moment in time, you know why you are doing something — the reason(s) behind it. The times you are doing something without even thinking about it may be habit or it may be because you are tapping into the flow of the collective and not paying attention to your own self.

What can you do to be aware of your sense of self? Be present! Be present at all times. Be aware of your breathing, be aware of your feelings, be aware of your emotions, be aware of your surroundings. This may sound like it’s a lot and yet, the more you are present, it is just your norm.

Check in with yourself many times throughout the day, to ensure you are being present. If you just ‘went somewhere’ without even thinking, bring yourself back. Even when you sit and daydream, be present you are daydreaming. Be aware of your breath.

The more you are aware, this also will wake you up to asking questions — what am I listening to, who am I spending time with, what am I spending time doing. Being true to your own self, having that sense, the knowing of each moment allows you to more easily create the world you want. Be present.
