Dear Ones,
Today we speak of your Loved Ones.
Some may be wondering why. Why am I not able to hear them or see them or feel them around me. There are several reasons, the number one reason being the grief you feel.
Your Loved Ones feel and know love. They do not see or feel the separation as humans do as they are standing right with you. They are sending you love, especially when the loss is new to you.
Here is a way to help with the grief. It will allow some of their love for you to be felt, to know they are still here.
- Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths (in through the nose and out through the mouth).
- Feel your body relax and notice your breathing – not changing it in anyway, just notice.
- Imagine you are sitting on a bench in the most beautiful garden. You notice the scent of the flowers and they have the most beautiful colors, so vibrant. You hear the birds chirping, you see a ground squirrel scamper past and you feel the sun warming your shoulders.
- You sit and enjoy the scenery, the wonderful fragrances and just notice what is going on all around you.
- Then you notice your Loved One is sitting next to you on the bench. They are taking in everything you are taking in.
- Once you notice them, you reach out your hands and allow them to place their hands in yours. You smile looking at them, holding their hands, feeling each finger in yours, feeling the love passing between you without saying any words.
- You embrace them and they embrace you, feeling the warmth of their love and knowing they feel the warmth of yours.
- You hold each other for as long as you would like. You still notice the fragrance of the flowers, the leaves blowing in the wind.
- You continue holding each other until you know, truly know they are still here and it’s OK to let go – knowing you can come back to this very bench and be with them once again. You can return any time for as long as you would like.
- When you are ready, you may open your eyes.
Dear One, do this as often as you would like and stay with your Loved One as long as you would like. They are with you as we are.
