I decided to pull a card from “The Nature of Infinite Love & Gratitude” deck, by Dr Darren R Weissman. I met him a few years ago at a conference and have read one of his books: The Power of Infinite Love & Gratitude.
When I met Dr Darren, he was walking down a hallway and I was walking toward him. I had just had a dream very similar so I stopped him in the hallway, introduced myself and told him I had just had a dream of meeting him in such a hallway. I also told him in the dream, he gave me a hug. So of course Dr Darren smiled and gave me a hug! 🙂
The word on the card is Optimism. The picture happens to be my own.
Optimism: “hopefulness and confidence about the future or the successful outcome of something.”
What a difference it would make if everyone looked at their world with an optimistic attitude. Who doesn’t want to see the world as a glass half full!
Set the intent, you can start right now or first thing in the morning, whichever you prefer. You can put a post it on your bathroom mirror to help you remember.
Set the intent to look at the positive side of everything:
- Intend your day will unfold in magical ways.
- Intend you will meet all of the right people for what you may be looking for.
- Intend others around you will be in harmony with you and the environment.
- Intend traffic will flow smoothly on your drive to and from work.
Things may come up throughout your day that may not seem positive at first, but if you decide to be optimistic, you’ll find just the perfect solution to everything on your path.
If multiple things come up that you’re having a tough time being optimistic, that’s OK. Something you can try is:
- Yell
- Smack a pillow
- Do some deep breathing where you really push out the breath with a noise.
Then re-look and see if it’s easier to be optimistic about that same item.
At the end of the day, look back on your day. I bet you’ll find you had a pretty darn good day. And then you can intend to have an even better tomorrow.
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
