plant pictureWe are all such interesting creatures. We are as multi-layered as this plant. I believe the plant is in the Agave family (but don’t quote me – and if you know for sure, please tell me :)).

The plant has many layers. The outer layers are very protective and as the plant becomes more comfortable in it’s surroundings it opens up more and more.

We as humans have protective outer layers. We maybe don’t share as much of ourselves until we get more comfortable with where we are and who we are with. Then we tend to open up a bit.

As the plant matures, it reveals more of itself. More and more leaves open to show what’s deep within.

As we mature, we become more comfortable with who we are and we reveal more of ourselves. Others can still see our outer layers hanging on. They are a part of who we are, a part of our story, our wisdom.

You can see on the leaves which are open, markings, shadows, indentations, of the inner leaves’ claws. The outer leaves were holding on so tight they actually leave marks on the leaves.

How many times do we hold on so tightly to what we think we know or who we were yesterday that we have scars, indentations, marks on ourselves?

The plant still has much it’s holding onto. You can see deep into the center and that much more is yet to be revealed.

We are continually learning, evolving and growing. There is much to be revealed about ourselves yet, about who we are becoming.

Each time we learn, evolve, become more comfortable, the more we grow and reveal ourselves.

What’s at the center of the plant? I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see.

Who will you be tomorrow, next week, next year? I don’t know that either. We’ll have to wait and see.

I do know one thing though. The beauty that already is will only expand. That goes for the plant and for you.

Angel Blessings to you.
