Fear is something many of you feel, on a daily basis or at least on a regular basis. Fear has many sides — it may be a physical fear because of an illness or it may be a fear such as the ‘fear of the unknown.’
We will touch on both as they, at their core, are one and the same.
Your imagination will come in quite handy for working with fear. Imagine fear as a blob of silly putty — very pliable, stretchy, and you can shape it into many different things if you would like. Fear is like that in that you can ‘imagine’ it into any shape you would like.
Ask this fear, what it has to do with, deep down. Keep asking what is the deeper meaning until you have exhausted all of the answers. And explore this deeper meaning rather than the first response you received.
Many times the deeper meaning will be something different than you initially received.
Once you have this response, now work with it, as you would silly putty, shifting and changing and reshaping. Maybe starting over, at times walking away for awhile and coming back with newway of feeling. After doing this a few times you will most likely realize that the fear has dissipated or changed into something else — hope, faith, compassion, love, or any combination.
Allow yourself to work with fear in this new way, no matter where the fear is originating.
