I pulled an Angel Card from the Saints & Angels deck*. This is really a power packed word.
Commitment, according to the dictionary is ‘being dedicated to a cause’ or ‘an obligation that restricts freedom’.
I like the being dedicated part, as long as that’s what you want. It’s when you feel an obligation, that’s when the energy of whatever it is you’re doing changes and shifts to a lower vibration.
When you are committed to something or someone, put your heart into it. If this was a decision you made, then put your all into it.
Are you committed to your work? Great, then put your all into it and put your heart into your work.
Are you committed to your family? Awesome, then put your heart into your family when you’re spending time with them and doing things with them.
Do you have a commitment to a pet, that you have to ensure they have food and clean water? Wonderful, when you feed and water them, do it with a loving energy so they can feel it too.
Do you have a commitment to YOU? Where do you fall in the mix? Do you truly take time for you? Do you make promises to yourself and keep them? I hope so, because that’s what this card is reminding all of us.
We all have commitments to others, and we do with ourselves as well.
Look at the commitments you have in your life. Do you put your heart into them? If not, maybe it’s time to get back to when you first made the commitment, the excitement, the enthusiasm. And if those truly are gone, then maybe it’s time to re-look at the commitments you have in your life.
Take a close look at what you have going on.
