shopping cartGrocery shopping has never been the top of my list for fun things to do as I have quite a big family and it’s always such a big task! Plus it can be pretty expensive too which certainly isn’t fun. Every so often I’m able to find a walmart promo code so that I can do some shopping online, saving me a trip to the dreded store and saving me money as well, but that’s not always the case so sometimes I do have to go to the store. If I do have to go to the store, I walk into the store with a smile on my face, I smile at others and I’m courteous to others. It’s just the way I am.

I do have to share one of my pet peeves though. I do not understand why people do not put there carts away after they’ve used them. Now, the grocery store where I shop, they have cart returns about every 10 feet so you almost need to go out of your way to not return it.

A couple of weeks ago, as I was walking in, I noticed a cart someone had just left against the curb. Well, they also had left their billfold in it. So I grabbed the cart and took the wallet inside. Maybe, had they put the cart in the cart return, they would have noticed their wallet? Or maybe not. 🙂

About 15 years ago, my ex-husband and I were in a parking lot, in the car, waiting for a flash downpour to stop before running into the store. A lone shopping cart started moving along with the wind and the rain, coming right for the car. Luckily, it moved at the last minute, but had the person returned the cart to where it belonged…

Here’s my theory of why people do this. I believe there are a lot of unhappy people that are in the grocery stores. I think they are unhappy with their lives, unhappy with being at the grocery store, unhappy period. If you look at the others who are in the grocery store, many are rude, in a hurry, not smiling.

So I do my best, when I go grocery shopping, to spread a little bit of happiness. Any person I engage conversation with, I do my best to leave them with a smile.

As I’m thinking about this, I think I need to up the ante a bit. This is my plan for the next grocery excursion:

  • Ask the Angels to clear the old, stale energy.
  • Every person that makes eye contact, make a comment to bring a smile to their face.
  • Those that avoid eye contact, still say something nice to bring out the smile.
  • Shine my light all that much brighter, feel the love inside and allow it to grow and spread to others along the way.

All of our individual efforts when done consciously and from a

place of joy vibrates and ripples out to the collective.
