Dear Ones,

Today we wish to speak of memories. Happy memories are like little packets of goodness. You can replay them in your mind when you are feeling out of sorts or need a pick-me-up.

When you are feeling a bit off, find yourself a quiet spot and remember a happy memory or a funny memory — of anything. Replay it in your mind with as many details about it as you can. Remember where you were, what you were doing, who you were with, if it was inside or outside, the noises and sounds you remember, the aromas you noticed. Remember as much as you can.

Soon, you’ll be in that happy memory.

Memories are what keeps Loved Ones alive in your hearts as well. When you have someone in your family who has transitioned, sharing stories with the younger generations are what keep them alive. It is two-fold. It keeps them alive when the story is shared and when it is heard.

Don’t wait for a family reunion or gathering to share your memories. Keep a journal or a written record of them so each time you remember a story you want to share, record it. Then at the family gathering, share the story. Others may have more details to fill in or another perspective.

This is one way to keep your Loved Ones in your hearts and in the hearts of others. You may also notice signs from your Loved Ones when sharing these stories. They enjoy being included in the family gatherings too.

We are here to assist when you need. All you need do is ask.
