Whether your mother is here in the physical or not, she is always here in spirit. Mine has been in spirit for a very long time, over 40 years. I miss her every day and I talk with her just about every day.

This morning I was listening to Doreen Virtue’s weekly reading and she invited James Van Praagh to come on camera with her. They had written a mediumship deck of cards together called Talking to Heaven

As soon as he pulled the card and read what was on it, “There is no such thing as death.“, I started crying. It was my mom I was thinking about.

I know she’s in spirit and I know she’s with me. I also know I started crying because there was some release that was ready to go, and she was here to help me with it.

I let myself cry until I was done and then I closed my eyes so I could feel her love and send my love her way.

There really is no such thing as death. We just change and evolve and grow.

Your Loved Ones appreciate you talking to them as if they’re seated right next to you. If it makes it easier for you, have a picture of them that you talk with or light a candle in their honor.

The holiday season brings up memories. They may be happy and wonderful memories of when you were together or they may be memories that didn’t happen the way you would have liked. The holiday season is a time to heal, no matter the memory.

Sit down and go into a wonderful memory – if you have one. And if you don’t, sit down and create a new memory. Yes, sit down and imagine a wonderful memory into being. Alternatively, I know a lot of people benefit from creating something that is in memorial of their mother. One of my friends suggested that I look into Russian nesting dolls. Apparently, those dolls represent mothers. My friend said that I could get some blank nesting dolls and paint them myself. By doing that, I could paint each one to represent something about my mother. That way, I would have some customized art that reminds me of my mother. That would be so lovely to have in the house. Maybe I will look into those. It’s so important to have things that remind you of your mother, whether that’s through painting some nesting dolls or through thinking of new memories.

This may sound silly or like a child’s game and yet it is so powerful and shifts things on so many levels. Try it!!

If tears come – good. If laughter comes – great. If anger comes – way to go. These are all feelings and emotions and remember, emotions are meant to be ~in-motion~ not stuffed away.

I titled this blog “Mothers and Daughters“. Know that it applies to mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, cousins, friends… You get the idea, it applies to everyone.

Angel Blessings to you,

PS This is one of my all time favorite pictures of my mom and I. It makes me smile every time I see it.
