hawks in nestHowdy Sweet Peeps!

Inspiration is an interesting word. Some of the history of the word is “immediate influence of God or a god”. And inspire comes from Latin spirare ‘breathe‘.

So I’ll sum it up as: breathing in the influence of God.

No wonder so many people are inspired by nature, the beauty, the amazement it brings. And the cleansing properties Mother Nature has.

Quotes can certainly be inspirational. I know I am inspired and touched by many. Here is an awesome quote that talks about seasons, but not in the traditional sense:

In the depth of winter I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.
~Albert Camus

People can be inspirational. I do my best to spend time with others who inspire me as well as be inspirational to others.

A mantra Gay Hendricks talks about in the book The Big Leap is:

I expand in abundance, success and love every day, as I inspire those around me to do the same.

This is one of those quotes that I read every day. Do you inspire others?

When you need inspiration, what do you do? Well, here’s a list I offer you:

  • take a walk in nature
  • look at some inspirational leadership quotes
  • journal
  • volunteer your time to another
  • play with children
  • watch a funny movie
  • take a nap
  • breathe deeply for 5 deep breaths
  • meditate
  • have lunch with a friend
  • walk in nature with a friend (double inspiration :))
  • read a heart-warming book
  • call on your Angels
  • remember something fun you did when you were under 5
  • go swing on a swing set
  • play a musical instrument
  • wish upon a star

Inspiration seems as if it comes from another or from something outside of ourselves, but it really is from within. I think the outside inspiration has the ability to ‘spark’ our inner inspiration for those times we need a bit of a pick me up.

So get yourself inspired and then go spark another!

Angel Blessings to you!
