I haven’t done any kind of a challenge in a long time. We must be overdue. 🙂 Let Koko sound the alarm. It's time!
In my blogs over the past year and a half, I have written about:
- Being positive
- Acceptance of who you are
- Loving yourself
- Having compassion for yourself and others
- Enjoying an attitude of gratitude
What I would challenge you all with is this:
- Pick one of the above topics
- Decide when you will start (I recommend now)
- For the next 21 days, each time you have a thought that is not in line with the topic at hand
- acknowledge the thought
- thank yourself
- thank the Angels for letting you know about the thought
- and turn it around
Sometimes you really need to pay attention because these thoughts will sneak in. But ask your Angels for help with catching the stinkin' thinkin' and turning it around.
Here are some examples to help you out:
Be positive. If you find yourself having a negative thought about someone, something, the weather, whatever, stop. Thank you Angels for letting me know I had that thought. Then change your thinking to a positive thought. The sun is shining. I like the way that person expresses themselves.
Love yourself. If you find that you’ve eaten ‘the whole thing’, acknowledge the thoughts that may be going through your head. Thank you Angels. Now love yourself. Know that you are a spiritual being having a human experience. I am a wonderful cook.
You get the idea. You can always enlist the assistance of a buddy. This would be someone who cares about you and will be gentle but firm. When they catch you, they can give you a gentle nudge. And you could do the same for them.
Do not beat yourself up or feel bad that you had a thought that wasn’t positive or didn’t feel or show compassion for another. We are human. Just turn it around once you realize it.
And look, when you just move on with the positive thought, that is all part of acceptance of who you are too. So there’s a BONUS for you :). You get the 21 day challenge AND yet another lesson in acceptance.
