I hope everyone had a very nice New Year Holiday. Now it's time to get this year a rocking' and rollin'!! Woo Hoo!

I wanted to share a story about a 'sign' from my Dad, notes from heaven, as some might say.

As some of you may know, Dad passed in 1984. He had been ill for a few years, off and on, with cancer. He had gone through several options, seemed quite healthy for awhile until it returned with a vengeance.

Dad and I had gotten close the last few years of his life. And while he was ill and in the hospital we were open about what was happening with him and had some good talks.

Something we hadn't talked about though is Dad, what signs are you going to give me once you're on the other side. I laugh now, but then, I wasn't as open to this as I am now. Death scared me more then, than it does now.

Now, I know, in my heart, he is still here with me and now I would ask him – what signs are you going to show me.

Back to the sign – so now, I have to sometimes really look and pay attention, while other times the signs are right in front of my face, like this story…

One day I am blowdrying my hair. I keep my blowdryer in a little basket in my closet.

I noticed when I grabbed it there was a paper in the basket and I thought one of my notes must have dropped in the basket too.

I picked it up and it's a little postcard. It reads:

Congratulations Dad!

To see your baby, please present this souvenir card at the nursery window during the hours when babies are shown.

Hold card against window so nursery nurse can see the name.

Please return card to mother's bedside.

Huh? What? What is this??

I flip the card over and it's all the information on Baby Broome, Female, date, time, weight, length and who the Dr was. It was my baby card from when I was born!!

How did it get in the basket, in my bathroom closet, with my blowdryer? It seems like something my Dad would do :)!! Thank you Dad! That was an awesome way of getting my attention!

Sometimes the signs aren't always as clear. Sometimes I have to look much closer.Dad & Sue looking in door

Do you have someone in your life who has passed? Are there some signs around you, you have noticed, some you haven't noticed, or maybe you are afraid to notice? Where have you been looking?

Over the next few weeks I'll talk more about the signs in my life which may help you notice the signs in yours. Sometimes they're right in front of us and sometimes we need to open a few doors.

If you'd like to share any signs in your life, either add a comment below, post it on Facebook or send me an email!

Angel Blessing to you!

Sue
